Regina Daniels Marks 25th Birthday in Wheelchair, Reveals Months of Health Struggles

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that she endured months of severe pain and mobility difficulties, saying her condition sometimes left her unable to walk and dependent on assistance from others.

Daniels shared the experience in a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, October 10, 2026, as she celebrated her 25th birthday and explained her prolonged absence from social media.

The actress, who appeared in a wheelchair in the video, said what initially seemed like a minor health problem gradually worsened, affecting her ability to move around freely.

“I know many of you may be surprised seeing me in a wheelchair. Well, welcome to another chapter of my life. Let me walk you through what my life has been since many of you have asked questions about my absence,” she said.

The mother of two explained that she had struggled with her mobility for several months and that her condition became significantly worse after the Children’s Day carnival she hosted earlier in the year.

According to Daniels, she underwent repeated medical tests as she tried to understand her condition. She described the pain as excruciating and said there were times when she could walk normally and other occasions when she could barely move.

The actress did not disclose a specific diagnosis or explain what caused the condition.

Actress Gives Update on Recovery

Despite the difficulties, Daniels expressed gratitude for what she described as significant progress in her recovery.

She said the improvements encouraged her to speak publicly about her experience after months away from social media.

“Well, me sitting here today, in front of this camera, sharing this with y’all, it’s because there’s been some really significant developments in my recovery. And I say, thank you, Lord,” she said.

Daniels also spoke about the emotional challenges of losing some of her independence and having to rely on other people for assistance with everyday activities.

She credited her faith in God with helping her through the difficult period and expressed hope for continued healing.

In the same video, the actress disclosed that she had moved to a new property to be closer to her children, whom she described as particularly important to her.

She explained that she initially rented the property but later developed a desire to own it after moving in.
