Adunni Ade Announces Mother’s Death After Long Illness

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother, who passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, following a prolonged illness.

The actress disclosed the loss on Monday, October 19, in an emotional tribute shared on her official Instagram page, accompanied by photographs of her late mother.

Expressing her grief while submitting to the will of Almighty Allah, Ade began her message with the Islamic declaration, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” meaning, “Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.”

In her tribute, the actress said her mother was survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones who would continue to cherish her memory.

She also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy upon her late mother, asking that she be granted Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ade further prayed for patience and strength for the family as they come to terms with the loss.

Expressing her enduring love for her mother, the actress prayed for her eternal peace and expressed hope that they would be reunited in Jannah.
