Poco Lee to Appear in UK Court on September 15 as CPS Denies Case Has Ended

The sexual-offence case involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, remains active in the United Kingdom, with his next court appearance scheduled for September 15, 2026.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that Odinaka is expected to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH).

“This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the CPS Press Office said.

A PTPH is a pre-trial hearing where the court considers matters relating to the defendant’s plea, case management and preparations for trial.

The confirmation comes amid online reports and speculation about Odinaka’s alleged release from custody. However, the CPS did not disclose whether he had been released or remained on remand.

Odinaka is facing five sexual-offence charges, including attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. The allegations have not been determined by the court.

The case followed his visit to the UK in August for the Davido and Friends concert at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.

Snaresbrook Crown Court has imposed a reporting restriction to protect the identity of the complainant under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.

Odinaka has not been convicted of any offence and is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
