Air Peace Launches Lagos-Conakry-Bamako Flights, Expands African Reach

Nigerian carrier Air Peace has begun direct flights connecting Lagos to Conakry, Guinea, and Bamako, Mali, extending its West African network as it pushes to establish Lagos as a major regional aviation hub.

The inaugural flight departed Lagos's Murtala Muhammed International Airport Terminal 2 at 8am on August 1, arriving via Conakry's Ahmed Sekou Toure International Airport before continuing to Bamako's Modibo Keita International Airport. Air Peace Chief Commercial Officer Nowel Ngala described the launch as "a significant milestone in the airline's regional connectivity journey."

Officials from both destination countries welcomed the new route at launch events, including Guinea's Transport Minister Ousmane Gaoul Diallo and Nigeria's Ambassador to Guinea, Umaru Kamfu, who framed the connection as a boost to Nigeria-Guinea relations and regional trade.

The Lagos-Conakry-Bamako route brings Air Peace's West African network to 13 regional destinations after 11 years of operations, part of a wider strategy to link African cities through Lagos to international destinations including London and the Caribbean. The airline says the expansion is aimed at boosting trade, tourism, investment and business travel across the region.
