Kane, Saka Score Twice as England Thrash Croatia 7–0
Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka both scored twice as England recorded a historic 7–0 Nations League victory over Croatia in Rijeka.
Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka scored twice each as England produced a dominant display to thrash Croatia 7–0 in their UEFA Nations League League A Group 3 encounter in Rijeka on Saturday.
England took control early, with Kane opening the scoring in the eighth minute before Jude Bellingham doubled the advantage in the 21st minute.
Anthony Gordon made it 3–0 in the 39th minute before Saka added England's fourth just before half-time.
Kane scored his second in the 53rd minute, while Saka completed his brace in the 68th minute. Substitute Morgan Rogers then added England's seventh goal in the 87th minute.
Bellingham was particularly influential, finishing with one goal and three assists as England overwhelmed Croatia throughout the match. His three assists made him the first England player to achieve the feat in a single game since Trent Alexander-Arnold against San Marino in November 2021.
The result was England's biggest-ever victory in the UEFA Nations League and Croatia's heaviest defeat in their history. It also equalled England's biggest win since their 7–0 victory over North Macedonia in June 2023.
Kane's brace took his England tally to 89 goals in 124 international appearances, leaving him one appearance short of equalling Peter Shilton's record of 125 caps for the national team.
The victory gives England six points from three matches in League A, Group 3. Spain also have six points but have played two matches, giving them a game in hand.
England will next face Czechia on October 6 as Thomas Tuchel's side continue their Nations League campaign.
